Thank You, New Subscribers :-)

My friend, Annie Grace from This Naked Mind, mentioned me in her newsletter this morning, and wow, what a wonderful response I’ve had today. More traffic to the blog than ever! It’s very cool because I consider Halloween or the first of November a mark in time since I became ethanol-free. So, I’m now into my 3rd year, and have so much great news to share about what I’ve learned over these past two years.

I am so excited to have so many new readers. Two years ago when I was obsessively stopping drinking, I wrote in private, and then thought, maybe my stuff would be helpful to other people like me, so I built the blog from my journal. Journaling is a great way to stay alert and aware when you are stopping any addiction. It is one of the big pieces, along with creative obsessive diversions, gratuity, and meditation (and fresh air and sunshine). That said, Welcome, new readers. I didn’t have my act together for automatic email subscriptions like I thought I had. So, I got a slew of email subscriptions, and manually added them to a new database. Switched the plug-in so now it’s auto. So, this is a test to see if you’ll get the notification of a new post.

I’ve been planning a sort of anniversary blog for quite a few weeks now, and I’ve started writing but it’s not even half written. I do have a title for it: Befriending the Hole.

Think about that meanwhile, and I’ll be back soon.

And don’t forget, STFM!

  1. I found you through Annie Grace. I love your blog and truly look forward to keeping up with them. Hoping your new system works so I don’t miss any. Thank you for putting yourself out there and helping the ones still struggling to find there way. God bless….

  2. I have been a reader of your Liquid Language since being introduced to you via Annie Grace. I have revisited many times. I think in the beginning, these subtle changes in the way we talk about this Liquid can make an amazing difference in the way we think about it. Refusing to buy into thinking of myself as a hopeless A£{*#<]!C has been the key. I am looking forward to Befriending the Hole. And…I have ordered your book for my 10 year old Grandson who is a voracious reader.

  3. Please add me to your email list! I am just beginning my journey into clarity and your post, shared by Annie Grace was a huge inspiration!

  4. I found your blog through Annie Grace and cannot stop reading it. It is so inspiring and makes sense. I love your language you use and it certainly changes your mindset.

    1. That whole shame and anonymity business promoted by the addiction industry is a big blockade to many people getting free, and that’s why I am so vocal. There really is no shame in this. We just happened to get addicted to a highly addictive substance. And we have the power to get free and stay free. xx
