Go figure

Art truly does help us find balance and calm in a world of sickness and insanity. We often find our voice in the simplest creative expression. I feel so lucky that we have this safe place to create exciting joy, peace, and personal accomplishment in our little part of the planet. When finance committees talk about cutting arts programs to balance a budget, it’s not fluff they’re cutting; it’s that very essence of expression and empowerment that they rob from developing hearts and minds. Please make your voice heard, and support funding for school arts programs in your town’s budget.  Enjoy these very cool figure works, and scroll down for the class schedule.

Pastel on suede matboard
Ryan did this alla prima (at first attempt/all at once) while I got my breaks by jumping off the chair and giving him tips. It was a challenge to teach when I couldn’t compare the work to the subject because I was it. 🙂

STAYING SAFE AT THE TOP
We continue to operate cautiously. We wear masks, and sanitize hands upon entering the studio. We assume we all may have it, and protect the people around us by maintaining safe distance.  We wash our hands and the things we touch often. We keep the studio well-ventilated, and sanitize areas and materials as they get handled.  If someone doesn’t feel well or may have been exposed, please stay home.
