Learning from the Masters
We’re looking at masterworks and learning from the painters who painted them. Since we weathered the pandemic, and the kids had so little freedom last year, I’ve loosened up with the curriculum and am letting the students make more decisions about the mediums and subjects they choose. Sometimes this allows for the artists to make mistakes brought about by their own experimental choices. And as I say often, We learn more from our failures than we do from our successes.
