Masks and Bones

October is a busy month at the Top. We made masks with a new kind of paper maché since newspaper is so hard to find these days. Art with a purpose, like mask-making, is very satisfying as we experiment with materials and techniques, learn a lot, and end up with a useful item.  This week Bones McJones will be posing for us. Skeleton art is really good for teaching anatomy, proportions, foreshortening, values, and then some.

Big congratulations to Charlotte Holl and Lila Hogan for their awards at the Young at Art Show at the Plymouth Center for the Arts!  Enjoy the artworks and scroll down for the schedule.
