YES, we have classes tomorrow, Tuesday, March 3, even though there’s no school. We will be taking pictures for our annual self-portrait challenge and continuing to work on portrait techniques.
We have a date for our 12th ANNUAL STUDENT SHOW & AUCTION, Friday May 22, 5-7:00 at Bramhall’s Country Store, and running through May 29. This year our Noisy Silent Auction will benefit OPAK, Ocean Protection Advocacy Kids whose mission is “Empowering youth to become curious ambassadors for the environment through the arts.” Let me know ASAP if you are participating in the show. I’ll be posting more info soon.
2020 Marine Endangered Species Art Contest Students are welcome to create artwork for this contest both in art class and at home. Because we have to send the original artwork, students can use other mediums like pen and ink or watercolor. Entries must be submitted or be postmarked by Friday, April 17, 2020, and I will be happy to send the artwork. Please visit the link for the prospectus. https://www.fisheries.noaa.gov/event/2020-marine-endangered-species-art-contest
