I’m giving the kids homework, and I hope they remember to do it every day: At least once a day think of 5 things you are grateful for, and when you go to bed at night, ask yourself what was the happiest thing that happened that day. Make it a habit. I’ve been noticing that, understandably, the pandemic has brought a bit of depression to some of the artists. We are, after all, very sensitive people, so it’s no wonder. I have been doing some form of this practice for many years now. One thing is for sure: teaching the kids is high on my happiness list. I have found that when we fill our consciousness up with gratitude for the blessings and positive stuff in our lives, there’s little room left for depression or worry. Try it!
