For the past few weeks I’ve been working on The Peace Lobster, a.k.a. The Lobsta of Love, with my friend Wendy Reifeiss. \u00a0This project is for the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce Lobster Crawl<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0Our lobster is sponsored by ERA Belsito<\/a><\/strong> & Associates and Radius Financial.\u00a0There are about 30 awesome lobsters that local artists have done. \u00a0They’ll be unveiled at the end of the month. \u00a0You can see more lobsters at the Lobster Crawl Facebook page<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Lobster arrives at the Top of the World.<\/p>\n

I surrounded it with a drop cloth and plastic for a dust-free spot to apply 3 cans of “high viz” yellow paint. \u00a0Our vision was to create the Volkswagen bus of lobsters.<\/p>\n

made a mock up of a horseshoe crab to see how the paint would work.<\/p>\n

Wendy and I kept at it until we were satisfied. \u00a0It was extremely hot and humid, a worse case scenario for paint drying. Then I applied a few cans of Krylon in hopes it wouldn’t get damaged in transit to Cape Auto for the big clear coat.<\/p>\n

Single-handedly wrapped it up and got it down into my car. It looked like a dead body…<\/p>\n

Then\u00a0I said farewell at Cape Auto <\/a>where I left it with some of its friends. \u00a0Groovy!<\/p>\n

On August 25, 2016 the “Lobsta of Love” (not my choice of spelling) was installed at ERA Belsito & Associates<\/a><\/strong>, 100 Court Street, at the corner of Court and Samoset in downtown Plymouth, MA. \u00a0I was astounded at the gorgeous high gloss finish Cape Auto<\/a><\/strong> did; the lobster is simply radiant!<\/p>\n

As Marley Meyer of Belsito so aptly put it, “In these times of uncertainty and unrest in the world, we can think of no better message than to spread love and peace.”<\/p>\n
