I hope everyone had wonderful holidays and vacation. Now, back to work! We’ll be looking at and working on faces, and culminating the unit with our annual self portraits – a great way to mark growth and progress both in the kids and their artwork. \ud83c\udfa8\u00a0 Enjoy the artwork \u00a0 the kids made for gifts, and scroll down for the schedules.<\/p>\n

NEXT WEEK\u00a0<\/strong>Faces – we’ll look at placement and proportions, and the little tricks of\u00a0using values to understand contour and\u00a0what makes faces work. Then we’ll paint fauve faces to better understand the importance\u00a0of values in portraiture.<\/p>\n
