We’ve had a lot of snow days over the past few weeks, but spring has sprung at the Top! I love using works from artist friends as teaching tools. For our nests, we looked at the gorgeous work of Eileen Casey<\/a>. Last week we looked at Mike Beeman<\/a>‘s birds. He is one of my favorite contemporary artists, as his work informs us on so many levels.\u00a0He’s my go-to guy for Santas and birds, and showing students how each little mark comes together to create\u00a0meaning on the page.\u00a0Enjoy the artwork from last week, and scroll down for the schedules.
