I’m giving the kids homework, and I hope they remember to do it every day: At least once a day think of 5 things you are grateful for, and when you go to bed at night, ask yourself what was the happiest thing that happened that day. Make it a habit. I’ve been noticing that, understandably, the pandemic has brought a bit of depression to some of the artists. We are, after all, very sensitive people, so it’s no wonder. I have been doing some form of this practice for many years now. One thing is for sure: teaching the kids is high on my happiness list.\u00a0I have found that when\u00a0we fill our consciousness up with\u00a0gratitude for the blessings and positive stuff in our lives, there’s little room left for depression or worry.
