I was unfortunately exposed to someone who\u00a0tested positive for covid yesterday, and I’m erring on the side of caution here, even though I’m optimistic based on the circumstances. I so appreciate that we’ve been able to remain covid-free at the Top since\u00a0we started up live classes October 2020\u00a0thanks to mask wearing, hand sanitizing, vaccines, and our awesome families who’ve kept kids home\u00a0when there’s been illness or exposure. That said, I’d be irresponsible\u00a0to hold classes, so I am just shifting this week’s schedule to next week. Balances are\u00a0carried over.
\nNOTE: Every other week families, please check the schedule so there’s no confusion.<\/strong><\/p>\n

HOMEWORK:<\/strong> Take 5 minutes a day and draw a simple subject first contour, and then sketch it like a value study. Extra credit if you do something using 2-point perspective, think cereal box, toaster, shopping bag, couch…<\/p>\n

We’ve working on perspective, both one and two-point, their\u00a0choice of medium – pen and ink, watercolor, acrylic or\u00a0pastel – with special attention to the works of Edward Hopper. There are a lot of students’ works in progress that would have been finished this week, but alas. Enjoy these perspective pieces, and scroll down for the schedule.<\/p>\n
