Today I sent a certified letter\u00a0containing\u00a0$3,000 to World Central Kitchen for their Ukraine Chefs initiative. As artists, we make lots of choices: subject, composition, what\u00a0colors to use, whether our piece will be square or rectangle, portrait or landscape, dark or light… We all have choices about how our art can be used, too, and when we create works for our auction, we get a clear understanding of how we can use our gifts and talents to benefit others. And that’s why we do it. Not only does art beautify our lives, it also empowers us to create positive change, and we can feel good about that. \u00a0Thank you, artists and families for\u00a0making the world a better place.<\/p>\n
