PLEASE SHARE this with people who might\u00a0want art lessons for their kids. Down & Dirty\u00a0classes\u00a0offer a basic fine art curriculum over the course of the school year where we strengthen drawing and observation skills, learn the power of values, composition, perspective, proportion, artistic\u00a0expression, figures, portraits, and so much more. We mainly use soft pastels as they are best to facilitate fine art techniques and are the most forgiving medium.<\/p>\n

The class\u00a0schedule is shaping up nicely, but I still need a couple of artists for Monday and Tuesday to make those classes happen. Things usually fall into place with a little\u00a0sharing here and there, so please share.<\/p>\n

At this point all of the kids on the list (except the Monday newbies)\u00a0are returning students who’ve\u00a0been coming to my classes\u00a0for years now. Jack is starting\u00a0his 12th year! \u00a0He was a little kindergartner when he started, and now he’s a high school junior towering over us at 6’3″ (if he hasn’t grown more over the summer).\u00a0\u00a0I can’t tell you just how satisfying and what an honor it is\u00a0to be\u00a0part of Jack’s growth and development\u00a0over these years, and I thank his family for nurturing his talents and sharing him with me. He’ll outgrow me one of these days, but he’ll always be welcome at the Top.<\/p>\n
