14th Annual Student Exhibit \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>IMPORTANT \u2013 PLEASE READ!
\n<\/strong>Here are all of the details about the upcoming show and auction:<\/p>\n

All of my\u00a0current students are\u00a0welcome to exhibit in this wonderful\u00a0event. And all are\u00a0welcome to join us for the opening, and visit the exhibit while it\u2019s up May 19 through\u00a0June 16 at the Harborwalk Apartments lobby at the Cordage, 30 Loring Blvd, Plymouth.
\nThe annual show is a great way for young artists to get a taste of what it\u2019s like to be a professional, and to see their work hanging in a public place. Kids are welcome\u00a0to sell their work if they\u2019d like. Deals are done directly between artist and buyer.
\n<\/b><\/p>\n

1 \u2013 I need to know who is\u00a0participating. Many\u00a0kids assume\u00a0they are, but I need\u00a0confirmation from the parents.<\/b>\u00a0I encourage all of the students to participate.\u00a0 We work mostly in 8.5×11 so paintings can be popped right into dollar store document frames.
\nI am working on a\u00a0postcard that has works of\u00a0the artists on it. Once printed, artists will get a bunch to distribute to friends and family. This is last year’s postcard.<\/p>\n

THE EXHIBIT<\/strong>
\nKids need to choose\u00a0the 1 or 2 paintings they\u2019d like to display. These will need to be framed for hanging by you. Newbies still have time to make a few more to choose from. Once they\u2019ve chosen the works, have\u00a0the kids give their paintings short fun\u00a0titles. All you need to do is to let me know the title and price or NFS<\/strong> of the pieces that will be shown, frame it for hanging (dollar store document frames are perfect), and deliver it to the studio entrance by May 15th. I\u2019ll take care of the rest. If you\u2019re having trouble deciding, you can see all of the works in this\u00a0blog\u2018s<\/a> weekly posts. If they want to put a price on the work, \u00a0I recommend around $30. The exhibit, at Harborwalk Apartments lobby, 30 Loring Blvd at the Cordage opens with our big party on Friday, May 19, 5-7:00, and runs through June 16 when I’ll dismantle the show and put the artworks in the mudroom for you to pick up.<\/p>\n

I redesigned the logo, and am having G&G Silkscreen print t-shirts. Each exhibitor gets a tee to wear to the Opening!

THE AUCTION<\/strong>
\nKids and parents agree to donate a painting made specially in class. We will start making them soon so\u00a0everyone gets a chance to make one. I frame them, and we have a silent auction during the party on May 19. Last year we raised $3000 for World Central Kitchen!<\/strong>\u00a0and we\u2019re going to be benefitting them again this year because the\u00a0need is so great.\u00a0We\u2019ll be making paintings of flowers that symbolize peace and other peaceful scenes. Donating to the auction is completely optional, and if a kid doesn\u2019t want to donate, it\u2019s perfectly okay.<\/p>\n

THE OPENING<\/strong>
\nEveryone is welcome! We have a big opening party and auction at\u00a0the Harborwalk lobby on May 19, 5-7:00. Jim and I get a bunch of pizzas delivered, parents and families bring finger foods and kid drinks; we provide\u00a0wine and beer, and we have a blast! \u00a0Parents, please let me know what you plan to bring.
