We love being outside and painting en plein air! We learn so much more when we are capturing fleeting moments. One of the big reasons I have student do contour drawing is so they are practiced in capturing the essence of something, especially things that are moving, letting their eyes tell their hand what to do. Get’s the brain out of the mix.
