Exhibitor Update – All 26 students will be participating in the show this year!
The annual exhibit is a wonderful way for young artists to exhibit their work in a professional setting, and try to sell it if they want. Each student can display 1 or 2 works, and they need to be framed and ready to hang. Dollar store 8.5×11 document frames work great. Even if you can’t make the opening on May 17, you can still exhibit your work. Everyone is welcome

THE SHOW: This will be our 15th Annual Show. All pieces listed in the program will default to NFS (Not For Sale) unless kids tell me to put a price on them. There’s no commission so kids get to keep all of the sale price. The show will hang at the Harborwalk Apartments Lobby, 30 Loring Blvd at the Cordage in North Plymouth from the opening May 17, 5:00-7:00PM through June 14 during the lobby’s regular hours. All of the exhibitors get a T-shirt to keep and wear to the opening.

THE AUCTION: The kids use one class to create an auction piece that I frame and create a bid sheet for. This gives young artists the opportunity to use their art for a higher purpose. Over the years we’ve benefited Heifer International, South Eastern Pine Barrens Alliance, Black Father Horse Rescue, Ecological Research and Development Group (horseshoecrab.org), Whale & Dolphin Conservation, and World Central Kitchen. This year we will benefit WCK for the 3rd year as their work is so critical these days. The theme is Beautiful Food, a broad theme that can include beautiful landscapes of crops, animals that provide food, food still life, and whatever else we can think up.

THE OPENING PARTY: We have a big party at the opening May 17, 5:00-7:00PM. Friends and family are welcome to attend the opening. Jim and I have a bunch of pizzas delivered, and provide beer, wine, plates and utensils. Families sign up to bring stuff like kid drinks, cookies, finger foods, etc. (see spreadsheet)

POSTCARDS: I make postcards for the kids to share and send that includes an image representing each exhibitor.

I populate the spreadsheet below as I get the info for the program. Artists need to pick one or two paintings to show with a short title, medium and price of NFS.
