I hope everyone had a great summer break. Unlike pharmaceutical companies, I have not raised my prices for around 7 years, and I’m holding back doing it now because it’s my mission to keep lessons affordable for all families. So, for now, I’m staying the course and hoping I can afford to keep it that way for a while longer. Lessons will remain $30 per for the time being.
With school starting for all of my favorite doodlers, I think it’s important to equip parents and teachers with this article and TED Talk. Please bookmark them to use if your kid is admonished for doodling. Fact is doodlers retain more knowledge; it’s how we think, remember and learn, and teachers should get that we are not being disrespectful, and our attention, understanding, and retention is enhanced by doodling: https://www.smashingmagazine.com/…/08/i-draw-pictures-all-…/
Sunny Brown’s TED Talk, Doodlers Unite!
Students should be encouraged to doodle.
And for the older kids, it’s proven that students who take notes by hand learn and retain much more and better, so ditch the laptop.

After school classes will start the week of Sept 12. I’m offering Tues, Wed, and Thurs 4-5:30. In the meantime, if anyone wants a private or group (you arrange the group), please just ask, and we can probably do it.
So far I’ve got:
Tues, Sept 13 – Lincoln (need 3 more)
Wed – need 4
Thurs – Emma P, Tessa, Sydney, and Capri – good to go
I need 4 minimum to make a class; 8 is max. Pay for the month in advance to hold your spot.
