I was unfortunately exposed to someone who tested positive for covid yesterday, and I’m erring on the side of caution here, even though I’m optimistic based on the circumstances. I so appreciate that we’ve been able to remain covid-free at the Top since we started up live classes October 2020 thanks to mask wearing, hand sanitizing, vaccines, and our awesome families who’ve kept kids home when there’s been illness or exposure. That said, I’d be irresponsible to hold classes, so I am just shifting this week’s schedule to next week. Balances are carried over.
NOTE: Every other week families, please check the schedule so there’s no confusion.
HOMEWORK: Take 5 minutes a day and draw a simple subject first contour, and then sketch it like a value study. Extra credit if you do something using 2-point perspective, think cereal box, toaster, shopping bag, couch…
We’ve working on perspective, both one and two-point, their choice of medium – pen and ink, watercolor, acrylic or pastel – with special attention to the works of Edward Hopper.
