My congrats to the kids who finished their self portraits this week. Getting a likeness isn’t easy. Getting a self-likeness is even more of a challenge, which is why I provide the artists with every possible opportunity for success, including the grid. If they get discouraged, I like to remind them that most grownups can’t do it; that many successful, professional artists steer clear of portraits. These artists are ages 6 through twelve! Good job!
ANNUAL SHOW UPDATE: Check this list. Even though I haven’t had confirmation from some parents, the kids have confirmed, so please check, and if your name is missing or you need it removed, speak now! I am still waiting to hear from a few artists. DEADLINE TO OPT IN or out is April 5th. Space at Bramhall’s is limited, so artists can display 1 or 2 works. Auction items are separate from the show.
